With an objective to deliberate on the need for strategic integration of better trade and economic prospects as well as an open and facilitative environment to encourage business, CII in partnership with Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India is organizing the inaugural edition of the CII India Mediterranean Business Conclave on 6 September 2024 in New Delhi.

The Mediterranean region is critical for global trade as the region accounts for 25% of all international seaborne trade. India’s total trade with the Mediterranean Countries doubled from US$ 48.60 Billion in 2017 to US$ 83.20 Billion in 2022. As India has globally emerged as one of the fastest growing large economies with strong fundamentals, the Mediterranean nations have been actively exploring India as a country of opportunity. There exists a large potential for further strengthening the economic ties by diversifying trade and investment between both the regions.
